Comparison: Chanel Orange Fizz vs. Chanel L.A. Sunset

I purchased Orange Fizz on a whim this winter, wanting something bright and coral. and that was exactly what I got. Delicious creamy.

This summer I found L.A. Sunrise, just a little bit used, and had to get it. I then saw that L.A. Sunset was for sale, and even though I thought it would look to much like Orange Fizz, it did'nt.

Orange Fizz is a true coral, and has a lot more pink in it than L.A. Sunset, which is a true orange creme. IMO they would be better described if they switched names.

Im not regretting buying L.A. Sunset, even though I have not tried it yet. I save it for a time when I really need a happy color boost.

Comparison: Chanel Rouge Noir (old US Vamp) vs. Wet N Wild Deep Rouge

Rouge Noir is the first polish I remeber buying (though I know I had others before that one), and I got it when I was 17 (yikes, 8 years ago!). Its such a classic, sexy vampy fall color.
I really want to wear it, but since it has many memories attatched (first boyfriend, 18th birthday), I dont want to run out. And because I am a student with a limited amount on money to spend on np, I am always interested in cheap dupes. And I found just that with Wet n Wild Deep Rouge.

I did not want to belive that they were DOD (dead on dupes), it would just be to easy, but after having applied Deep Rouge to my nails, I was more than satisfied.

I took some pics of the two of them side by side:

Swatches of my last purchases

From L-R:

Essie Limmited Addiction, Essie Merino Cool, Essie Little Brown Dress, Essie Sew Psyched, Chanel Jade Rose, MAC Moody Blue, Gosh Yellow Doll, Chanel Vert Sacrilége.

The Essies are 2-coaters, Jade Rose and Yellow Doll as well, while Moody Blue and Vert Sacrilége needed 3 coats. I know many people don't bother with 3 coaters, but personally I draw the line at 5 coats. If the polish is tantalizing, I dont mind that extra effort.

The Essies was just as expected, rich in pigment and deliciously creamy. Applied like a dream. I know many people have been negative about the formula of Jade Rose, but I did not have any problems with it. It applied smooth and evened itself out. Likewise with Yellow Doll. Both Moody Blue and Vert Sacrilége are on the thinner side, and therefore needed the 3rd coat.
